We Are Ready to Care for You
The COVID-19 pandemic has posed unprecedented challenges for health care systems, and in Connecticut we are fortunate to see that the worst of the pandemic is behind us. As the coronavirus has begun to stabilize in our community, Ryders Health is committed to keeping you safe and comfortable when you come to us for care. Thanks to the tireless efforts of our staff, Ryders Health Management is pleased to report that all its nursing facilities are COVID-free at the present time. We are open to admissions in all of our buildings and are providing full nursing and rehabilitation care.
Comfort and Safety Measures
We have increased efforts to keep our patients, visitors and healthcare professionals safe including screenings, testing, social distancing and cleaning across our facilities.
Screening
We ask staff and visitors about symptoms and check their temperatures at the door. Our employees are required to take a temperature check each day prior to entering the facility. If they have any symptoms of COVID-19, they are not allowed to report to work. At our facilities, all patients and staff are required to wear masks.
Testing
Patients: Every patient admitted to our facilities is tested for COVID-19 prior to admission.
Employees: We have established a program that tests employees regularly.
Cleaning
We use an advanced cleaning and disinfection process on all equipment, highly touched surfaces and frequently trafficked areas. All of our cleaning complies with the recommendations put in place by the CDC. Patient rooms are cleaned daily, and deep cleaned after a patient is discharged. We have also installed additional hand sanitizing stations.
Social Distancing
We require patients and staff to maintain social distancing as much as possible.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
We have ample supplies of infection prevention equipment to help keep patients and caregivers safe, such as masks, gloves, gowns and face shields.
Current Visitor Restrictions
While community spread of COVID-19 is still occurring, we will continue to restrict who can visit our facilities. While we regret restricting visitors, it helps reduce the risk of exposure to patients and staff.
Video Visits
We offer video visits with patients for families who are unable to visit in person. Contact our facilities if you are interested in scheduling a video visit.
